Originally from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, AJ loves the adventure of living in Canada's North and has chosen to put down roots in Yellowknife, 400 kilometres south of the Arctic Circle.

AJ is contained and calm, but this winter we see his steely nerves put to the test. He makes life and death decisions during an in-flight engine failure and gets stranded with a broken down plane in Norman Wells. We also see AJ make one of the greatest leaps of his life when he gets married in a Yellowknife landmark, the Snow King's Ice Castle.
