Former Chief Pilot
69 years old
Seasons: 1, 2 , 3 & 4
"We all know that the North Atlantic is not a very friendly environment, especially in the winter. Nobody traditionally crosses the North Atlantic with these types of airplanes at that time of year."
A widely respected northern aviator and Buffalo's longtime chief pilot, Arnie is revered by all as one of the best that ever flew a plane. Recovering from extensive cancer treatments, he returns to Yellowknife this season to spend Christmas with his good friend Kelly. But his health eventually takes a tragic turn for the worst and his passing is mourned by everyone at Buffalo. He is fondly remembered in a touching hangar memorial service, followed by a sprinkling of his ashes over Pilot's Monument in Yellowknife. He will be missed.
